Melody In Motion Repairs
The Japanese company Waco Products went out of business in 2007.
As far as I know, there are now only 2 people or places in the USA and none Internationally that buy, sell and repair these wonderful collectibles. I am one of those 2 people. See my repair message below and let me know what you would like to do.
I have been repairing the Melody In Motion pieces for many years and have now repaired close to 5,000 of them. I have available to me any and all required parts and they are the original items I order straight from Waco Products in Japan. Whether they need on/off switch, volume control, new belts, new battery contacts or even a new tape, I have those in stock. I do NOT repair porcelain. Normal repair and return is within 7 days.
First Note: I no longer repair any of the Melody In Motions that use "AAA" batteries.

Shipping Rates
Melody In Motion without a clock, is a flat fee of only $50.00 plus shipping cost of $28.00 for the lower 48 states in USA.
Melody In Motions with a clock, is a flat fee of only $60.00 plus shipping cost of $28.00 for the lower 48 states in USA.
Carousels depends on which one you have.
1st Edition Carousel is $75.00 Plus Shipping Cost of $30.00 for the lower 48 states in USA
Victoria Park Carousel is $85.00 Plus Shipping Cost of $35.00 for the lower 48 states in USA
King of Clowns Carousel is $100.00 Plus Shipping Cost of $50.00 for the lower 48 states in USA
Grand Carousel is $150.00 Plus Shipping Cost of $75.00 for the lower 48 states in USA
That includes all labor as well as any parts needed. I also clean the entire inside of each of them and test them to be sure they move and sound as well as they did when they were new. You would be expected to pay the shipping cost both ways. This can be easily done by shipping either UPS or FedEx and including a return shipping label. Or, if you want to ship it to me and pay $25.00 for me to ship it back to you using UPS, then I can do that as well. This shipping cost is for the lower 48 USA states only. International shipping will be more. You may include a Money Order, Cashier's Check or personal check in the package if you wish. Or, you may use PayPal to send payment to da6050@att.net.

If you are going to ship this Melody In Motion to me, please try to follow these packing instructions.
Be sure you insure this very fragile item in order to protect us both in case of lost or damage.
The main thing you must do in order for it to arrive at my home undamaged is, to stuff something soft and pliable all around his neck. If you can get it down in the crack around the neck that would also be best. Foam rubber, Styrofoam, tissue or even bubble wrap work very well for this. The neck sometimes presses against the chest and will break a chunk out of it. Also, do the same padding for any and all other movable parts such as foot, hand and arm. If you can shake the heck out of this and something moves, then something might be broken during shipping.
If you will do the above and place it in a large enough box to have 3 or 4 inches of Styrofoam peanuts around it, then everything should be just fine.
PLEASE do NOT put any tape on the original box if there is one. When I remove the tape from the box, it will pull the colored paper off.
